Terms of service

Draft — effective when KiLocker opens for external keys. Until then KiLocker is in private early access and these terms describe how it will work.

KiLocker is operated by KiLocker Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17563874), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX (“we”).

1. What KiLocker does

KiLocker stores API keys for their owners and, on the owner's instructions, adds a key to requests that people and apps the owner has allowed send to that key's provider. KiLocker does not buy, sell or resell API capacity and is not a party to any arrangement between a key owner and the people they allow.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it.
  • Platforms that register an app are responsible for keeping their app credentials secret.

3. Key owners

  • You may only store keys you own or are entitled to use and to let others use.
  • You are responsible for complying with your provider's terms, including any rules on sharing access. KiLocker enforces the limits you set; it does not decide whether a given use is allowed by your provider.
  • Charges from your provider for uses of your key remain between you and your provider. KiLocker records every use so you can see them.

4. People and platforms using a key

  • You may use a key only through KiLocker, within the limits of your pass, and only for lawful purposes.
  • You must not attempt to extract, reconstruct or bypass the protection of any key, or to get around the limits of a pass.

5. Availability

We work to keep KiLocker available and fast, but during early access we do not offer a service level commitment. If KiLocker is unavailable, requests that depend on it fail; keys are never released as a fallback.

6. Suspension and ending

You can delete your keys and close your account at any time. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and will tell you why where we can.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, KiLocker is provided as is during early access. The final terms will set out the liability position before KiLocker opens for external keys.

8. Changes and contact

We will announce material changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: contact@kilocker.com.
